LAKE AGUA MILPA MEXICO BASS FISHING

Mexico Bass Fishing Trips
for NUMBERS of Quality Bass.

THE FISHING TACKLE

THE MOST IMPORTANT TACKLE

PLASTICS
   COLORS
   Red Shad
   Tequila Sunrise
   Watermelon
   Black/BLue
   Pumpkin Seed

These are the most important colors for fishing the lake. We suggest that you have 100 to 200 of each of these colors. You do not want to run out of what they are hitting best. Other colors have their time periods, but you must plan on these colors.

The type of plastics that you will need to bring are worms and lizards. The 7 inch style tends to catch smaller fish, and the 8 to 12 inch plastics tend to catch the bigger fish. We recommend using the bigger plastics.

SPINNER BAITS
   COLORS
White preferably with a blue head
   Chartreuse
   White/Chartreuse
   Chartreuse/Green

You want to use a colorado/willow leaf combination for best results. You will want to use at least a 1/2 oz. spinner bait.

TOPWATER
   COLORS
   Black/Chrome
   Blue/Chrome

Make sure you bring your Pop'R style baits. Preferably in 1/2 oz. size.

RATTLE TRAPS
   COLORS
   Chrome/Blue
   Chrome/Black

We suggest the 1/2 to 3/4 oz. size for the rattle traps. The 3/4 oz. will most likley prove most effective for the bigger fish.

HOOKS: We suggest high quality hooks in 4/0 or 5/0. Make sure they are strong and sharp.

BULLET WEIGHTS: Make sure you bring plenty of 1/2 oz. bullet weights. We believe there are times that a 3/8 oz. can prove to be more effective. This will be when the fish are suspended in the trees, and the lighter weight will allow the bait to fall a little bit slower when dropping over the limbs of the trees. It is also a good idea to bring some 5/8 oz. weights for when you are having to fish deeper.

LINE: 17 to 20 pound test. Good quality line.

RODS: 6 1/2 to 7 foot rods, medium heavy to heavy action rods.

UPDATE OF BEST TACKLE: We will update our clients 10 to 14 days before their trip on what the latest top lures are.
